Giuliana Ahlers, a first-term board member at FAMA and its elected Secretary, was originally from near Managua, Nicaragua, and has lived in Washington, DC for the past decade. She currently works at Gartner, partnering with heads of HR across Latin America to support their mission-critical priorities. Previously, Giuliana built and led the customer success function at Mathison, a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion tech startup. Prior to that, she managed and grew the Latin American territory at the research and advisory firm CEB (now Gartner), working closely with banking executives across Colombia, Mexico, and Panama. She holds a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Virginia, where she was involved in TBLA (“Towards a Better Latin America”), a student-run organization fundraising for social causes and needs in Latin America. Giuliana lives in downtown DC with her husband, and enjoys exploring the city and taking advantage of remote work to travel the world.
