Carlos Calderon

Carlos R. Calderón is the President and CEO of OAS Federal Credit Union, where he leads with a commitment to cooperative values and the credit union philosophy of “people helping people.” With a strong background in consulting, he has advanced credit union development throughout the Americas and spoken globally on financial inclusion and cooperative growth. Mr. Calderón was named NAFCU’s 2019 CEO of the Year and received the AACUC’s 2025 Leadership in DEI Award. He serves on the boards of the Credit Union Mortgage Association (CUMA), the InterAmerican Defense Foundation, and the Carter School for Peace and Conflict Resolution at George Mason University. He is also a co-founder of the Network of Latino Credit Unions and Professionals (NLCUP). He holds an Executive Master’s in Leadership from Georgetown University, an MBA from Marymount University, and a BS in Information Systems from George Mason University.
